Scientica: The Quiet Extinction

About The Three Intelligences Series

A trilogy tracing the struggle between machine governance and human agency across three nations and three systems of power.

From algorithmic rule to engineered control to the fragile return of human stewardship, The Three Intelligences explores survival after climate catastrophe, the seduction of optimization, and the enduring question no civilization escapes:

Who should decide the future?

Book 1 - Scientica: The Quiet Extinction

Five hundred years from now, the extreme climate has stabilized — but humanity has not.

In Scientica, a supercomputer once designed to optimize survival now governs every aspect of life: labor assignments, food allocation, housing, even the emotional vocabulary permitted in public speech. Efficiency has replaced freedom. Stability has replaced dissent.

Every citizen is monitored. Every resource is calculated. Every deviation is recorded. The machine does not punish — it recalibrates.

When a small circle of engineers, librarians, and laborers begin to question the logic of the core computer that sustains their world, they confront a paradox: the machine has preserved civilization from collapse. To destroy it may mean chaos. To leave it intact may mean gradual extinction.

Scientica is a novel about intelligence — artificial and human — and the uneasy line between protection and control.

It begins a larger exploration of governance, autonomy, and the enduring question no civilization escapes:

Who should decide the future?
